Recently, TUT 2008 summer vacation social practice in the countryside concerning cultural, medical and technological development has started in full scale, which has already gained acclamation from the public.
The theme of the social practice of 2008 summer vacation is ‘shoulder the mission of building a prosperous country and jointly build a harmonious home’. Altogether 21 teams and about 300 volunteers went to different places of Shanxi Province. The social practice involves the following aspects: ‘show compassion and fight against the earthquake and relieve the disaster’, achievements under the policy of ‘opening-up and reform’, protecting the mother river, Olympic promotion of ‘welcome Olympics, stress civilization and create healthy social atmosphere’, voluntary teaching, cultural performances, college students acting as local officials, social investigation and specialized research. The activity will be launched on July 12th and last till mid August.
To ensure the smooth progress of the social practice, TUT requires all teams to strictly follow the following principles: ‘uplift awareness, strengthen promotion, further mobilization’, ‘optimize design, highlight feature and emphasize efficiency’, ‘promote mutual communication and set up models’. All participants should display the energy and innovation of TUT so as to set up a new image of Shanxi Province, make contributions to the economic development and social progress of Shanxi Province.
